Mother Nature played a foolie on us. We woke up to quarter size snow flakes.
Of course, there was no mention of snow in the forecast. I figured we were in for a couple of feet. But it stopped after a couple of hours.
#4 built a snowman. Just because he could.
Around here, if snow flurries are mentioned, the store shelves are stripped. If that much snow fell, school and most businesses would be closed...lol.
ReplyDeleteWill that be the last of the snow for you? How late can you expect snow where you are?
Nice snowman!
It was only a couple of inches, no cause for panic, lol.
DeleteOur frost free date is June 6th this year. Up until then the temperature fluctuations could bring more snow at any time. We usually get our last snowfall in May, but you never know. I haven't seen it myself yet, but I hear tell of light snowfalls in August on bad years.
Great snowman!
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to tell exactly when winter will be over. I still can't get over the unusually warm weather we have been getting. Last year at this time, we were still using the snowblower. Then we had hot weather and tornadoes, followed by a snowstorm the following week - go figure.
We had a couple of snow falls in April last year, and an early spring in May. This year has been very mild, which makes it feel like spring is extra early. I was not surprised by this snow though, and I still expect a couple more.
DeleteRenoman has always said big flakes, little snow. Getting two feet would be heartbreaking after the nice weather you've been having. I'm glad it was big flakes :-)
