Farm Life in Northern Ontario.
If you don't like the weather, wait an hour and it will change? I don't think I could handle snow this late. My bare feet in my sandals would object. Of course, there have only ten days this winter that I actually wore socks and shoes when I left the house.Do you have anything planted that snow and cold will kill?
lol, no, I don't live in Calgary. It's supposed to warm up later this week again. It's really not late for us. The warm weather we've been having is a rare treat. No, nothing planted outside. It's way too early for that!
Oh No! more snow! I'm here in(cough)Sunny California. I'm getting real tired of this liquid sun shine....but at least it's not snow. Thinking and sending warm sunny thoughts your way.
Has the snow melted again?
That batch did then it snowed again last night (April 17th) but it's almost gone already this afternoon. We were lucky not to get hit by the snowstorm (2 feet in one day, two hours away) so far. Fingers crossed...
There''s an older lady at my church who says every time it snows in the spring, "Poor man's fertilizer!" I don't know how true that is, but I like old farm sayings. Don't you?
Hi, Wendy! I didn't see a place to contact you privately so I'm adding this link here even though I know it won't work until you copy paste it into your bowser. It's to my friend's blog in PEI. She's into her second year doing a Hugelkulture bed. Click on the photos. She's added more details in the captions. Hope you like it! http://www.redsandcottage.net/1/post/2012/04/hugulkultur-beds.html
Thanks, Sue! You're such a delight. I haven't posted in a while, and wasn't expecting to see any new comments at all, let alone new comments everywhere! lol. I will go and check out her blog right now!
