It was my yard and barely recognizable. Have you ever had to tie ropes so you could find your way. I think that is what the Ingalls did.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023803000478958088.post-6534984232913041262012-03-09T15:28:02.231-05:002012-03-09T15:28:02.231-05:00I imagine tools like snowblowers wouldn't mix ...I imagine tools like snowblowers wouldn't mix very well with cow patties when trying to clear the snow away from the fence in the winter enclosure. Good luck keeping those rascals from getting loose.Mrs. S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05303378310653171627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023803000478958088.post-1031494210700926452012-03-04T09:27:55.211-05:002012-03-04T09:27:55.211-05:00Exactly. With the snow packed down around the fen...Exactly. With the snow packed down around the fence it was only about 2 feet high, which the cows were just hopping over as they pleased. Husband pulled the snow back away from the fence, exposing the full 5 feet height. With the drifts from yesterday, it looks like it's about 3 feet high now, or less in spots. However, since it's not packed snow, it won't support their weight when they walk through it.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11557512606416161272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023803000478958088.post-12433066660375814582012-03-04T09:22:33.860-05:002012-03-04T09:22:33.860-05:00I suppose I could look forward to that!I suppose I could look forward to that!Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11557512606416161272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023803000478958088.post-39012857018850434012012-03-03T22:33:15.116-05:002012-03-03T22:33:15.116-05:00You pulled back the snow so they cannot walk on it...You pulled back the snow so they cannot walk on it and get out? They jump the fence because there is not much fencesticking up when they walk on packed snow, so it is really a short fence. This post was puzzling, so I read it three times! Remember, I know less about snow than I do cows. One is too cold and seems dangerous, and the other is good for milk and entertainment. Your "innocent" cows are entertaining from here...lol.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023803000478958088.post-42778856409535149712012-03-03T20:41:48.293-05:002012-03-03T20:41:48.293-05:00March - in like a lion, out like a lamb...or cow. ...March - in like a lion, out like a lamb...or cow. lololSue Frelickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13150735651127251014noreply@blogger.com
